Fred Yates
Fred Yates (1922 – 2008) lived for his art. He was a great admirer of the Fauves and the Post-Impressionists, particularly Van Gogh. We believe we hold the largest collection of his early works and shown below is a selection. Collectors of his paintings have seen the cost to acquire them rise substantially over the years. Although nothing is certain in the art market, we believe the increase in buyers of his works will continue to drive prices upwards.
Fred Yates, “The Stream, la Motte”
In our opinion a very special Fred Yates painting, an absolute riot of colour from his very adventurous later years. Acrylics on canvas (38x46cm), £3,850
